Hello! My name is Eagan Norman, and I am currently finishing my last semester at Port Washington High School. Throughout high school, I have been a member of the Cross Country and Track and Field teams, as well as a member of our school's math team and national honors society chapter. I also recently became an Eagle Scout, and I am a lifeguard and teach swim lessons. In my free time I like to hang out with friends, and play guitar, bass, and piano. I feel that I am a good fit as a tutor for a high school student because, unlike somebody coming in out of an undergrad degree, I am more of a peer. That helps me connect with the student, and I can make learning less of a chore. In my experiences with tutoring and/or helping with math, people can get what I'm saying a lot better, because they aren't afraid to approach me with questions, and I can understand the points they are at. I also know how certain areas of mathematics can be applied, which makes learning it seem more useful in the long run.
